For Dsquared2’s Spring 2018 ad campaign, fashion’s ultimate double team of Dan & Dean Caten, once again turned to long time creative partner Giovanni Bianco and the creative crew at GB65.
Bianco has a hand that has brought him double duties, both running GB65 as well as serving as creative director for Italian Vogue. So it should come as no surprise the the campaign of spreads is essentially a double play of images with black and white combined with color, all lenses by yet another duo, Inez and Vinoodh.
The results these pairings is a campaign that well balances the artisanal eye as well as serving to support the men’s and women’s arm of Dsquared2’s business. While the business may lean toward men’s the design pair has carved out a smart balance in their campaigns as well as jointly combined men’s & women’s shows.
But of course, if anyone would know how to pair things up ….
