INDIA IN MADRID IS CALLED BANGALORE

The colors and textures of the decoration accompany the spicy aromas of India in the new restaurant ‘Bangalore’ that signs ‘Madrid in Love’. Traveling with the senses was never so easy.

The aroma of spices permeates every detail of the Bangalore restaurant, which proposes a trip for the senses to India without moving from the center of Madrid. The elegant and sophisticated design, carried out by Juan Luis Medina, creative director of Madrid in Love Studio, escapes from the clichés of decoration and reinterprets the traditional colors and textures of India, specifically from the city of Bangalore.

The new restaurant, located in the Salamanca district, combines elegance with comfort, offering a flexible and versatile space on two floors and an outdoor terrace. On the first floor, at the foot of the street, the vegetation is the protagonist, with plants that turn the interiors into a garden. In tribute to the city of Bangalore, capital of the Indian state of Karnataka, whose name means garden city, a cosmopolitan space has been created that reminds of a sophisticated garden.

In keeping with this fresh air, the walls and floors are covered in natural materials such as enameled black and white clay and natural wood. Other materials used in furniture, lighting and decoration is brass and upholstery with natural textiles, such as moss green velvet or cotton.

The mirrors are also an element that gives sophistication to the premises, especially the work done in the bar, where the designer has reinterpreted the traditional lattices of India in mirror and brass. Mirrors have also been installed on the roof, which increases the luminosity and the feeling of height of the premises.

On the ground floor, prepared for lunches or dinners of groups and events, basically the same elements are kept in the design, although the chromatic range changes, betting on more intense colors such as blue and garnet. Mirror trusses, rhomboid sconces and suspension lamps designed specifically for this project, achieve an elegant environment that is complemented by vegetation and pot plants..

The lighting, delicate but bright, finishes creating the perfect atmosphere to taste the traditional Hindu dishes. And if you do not know whether to choose between a tandoori, a biriyanis or a rice, you can always opt for the tasting menu so you do not want to try everything
