KATE SPADE HOLIDAY 2018 AD CAMPAIGN

In honor of the brand’s 25th anniversary, the Kate Spade Holiday 2018 campaign concludes the brand’s year of celebrations with its strong focus on the iconic, always-chic Sam bag. Photographed by Inez and Vinoodh—who have shot all Kate Spade New York campaigns for 2018—and styled by Laura Ferrara, the imagery and accompanying film of the campaign feature the utterly feminine and optimistic actress Margaret Qualley.

Embodying a sense of love for life, Margaret is depicted in the short film as maintaining a feeling of eagerness to celebrate the joys of the holiday season. Although Margaret encounters a few unexpected bumps along her way to enjoying holiday festivities, such as a broken elevator and a fallen heel, she nevertheless thrives in the joyful energy that the holidays bring—all the while toting the iconic Sam bag.

The campaign images and fashion film focus on the iconic silhouette of Kate Spade’s Sam handbag. The handbag is pictured juxtaposed against black and white shots as it appears in a party-ready pale pink satin color. The contrast in color accentuates the iconic handbag, bringing it to center-stage of attention.

Featuring still images and video content for web and social media shot on location in NYC, the Kate Spade Holiday 2018 campaign alludes to the cheer of the holidays with the excitement of festivities, as it associates this sense with the classic, always-iconic nature of the Sam handbag.
