THE NEW YORKERS’ PLACE

Designed as a private house, this ‘club house’ of the group ‘Habitas’ is a hideaway full of well-being, music and good food that awakens the imagination of creative New Yorkers.

The Habitas adventure began with the opening of a hotel in Tulum, Mexico, followed by the clubhouse of Los Angeles and New York, two private houses designed to promote well-being, music, good food and the imagination of the creatives In Manhattan, New Yorkers enjoy a six-story building from 1895, the former headquarters of an old fire station.

Open to all members of the Habitas community this relaxed place gives the feeling of being at home. It was conceived as an oasis in the middle of the city where to find a friend, listen to music, exercise or just relax. The design was carried out by Style Mood, who mixed Californian, Scandinavian and industrial influences.

Inside there is a living room with a communal kitchen and a bar, a recording studio, several rooms, creative areas to work alone or in collaboration, a movie theater, spaces for meetings and events, an area dedicated to well-being, a patio exterior and a rooftop. In this cozy atmosphere, there is an abundance of vintage furniture and objects mixed with contemporaries, such as an old 1929 emergency telephone booth and ornate windows from the past along with a work by the Chinese artist Liu Bolin.

A suitcase that belonged to an iconic jazz singer of the 1940s leads to the living room on the ground floor with vaulted ceiling, a fireplace and comfortable seating. Then, in the bar and the kitchen, you can taste fresh products chosen by chef Jared Dowling. The outdoor patio gives access to the recording studio and the area where you can do yoga or meditation. The second floor is ideal for relaxing in a quiet environment: an intimate cinema room, a creative laboratory and a lounge space are also available to members. The third floor houses The Nest, where you can organize events.

Wellness, music and creativity shape the lives of people who spend a few hours in this club house where old and new merge reflecting the spirit of New York.
