STELLA MCCARTNEY S/S 2015 AD’ CAMPAIGN

Natalia Vodianova is captured by Harley Weir for Stella McCartney Spring/Summer 2015 Ad Campaign.

This is the 7th time Natalia appears in a Stella McCartney campaign, the last was in Summer 2013. Meanwhile this is the first time the designer is collaborating with the London based photographer Weir, who shot the campaign on film for a more natural photographic feel and look.

Set softly against a backdrop of Ibiza, Stella McCartney’s Summer ’15 campaign takes inspiration from the colours, lightness of fabric and fluidity of the collection. We collaborate for the first time with photographer Harley Weir, who shot Natalia Vodianova for the campaign entirely on film, returning to an effortless photographic process.

“We wanted to capture the ease of summer, the realness and the warmth of the collection with Natalia and the use of real film. We created images that are playful and have a calming effect, the Stella woman shot amidst the salty spray of the sea and the airy breeze.”

The new campaign is inspired by the effortless spirit and fluid silhouette of the new collection. Styled by the designer herself with make-up by Gucci Westman and hair by Duffy, the uncomplicated and fresh imagery portrays Natalia in this season’s looks that embrace a strong feminine attitude against the sandy beach, turquoise water and dramatic sky of Ibiza. The new campaign highlights the iconic Falabella bag in quilted metallic silver faux leather in mini and micro size, as well as in the embroidered denim crossbody. The micro quilted metallic Falabella will be sold exclusively at Stella McCartney stores worldwide and online starting this March.
