PRADA

PRADA RESORT 2016 AD’ CAMPAIGN

Good girls go bad for the  Resort 2016 ad campaign.

Lexi Boling, Meghan Collison, Ina Jensen, Lineisy Montero, Julia Nobis and Greta Varlese are transformed into glam rock muses for the campaign shot by Steven Meisel.

For Montero, who walked 68 shows this season, it’s her second Prada campaign – the Dominican starred in the house’s AW15 visuals, also photographed by Meisel.

In these images the models are shot against a roller shutter, as if they are queuing outside a nightclub, so they resemble something akin to 80s club girls. In fact, they wouldn’t look out of place in a book by Derek Ridgers, who photographed London youth in the late 70s and 80s.

“Pop decorativism is subverted by industrial minimalism,” reads the press release, which also pays “post-modesty” a mention. Described as the “new normcore”, this term was coined by Miuccia Prada at Prada’s SS16 men’s show, where this collection was first unveiled.

The clothes themselves bear including rabbits, race cars, spaceships, arrows and eyes. “They represent any kind of symbolism,” she said backstage at the show. “Advertising, logos  – although I don’t like to simplify thoughts, so we chose stupid symbols, the most infantile, that worked graphically.”

Diesel-Bag-SS15-Campaign

#DieselHigh is the hashtag for the new Diesel S/S 2015 ad’ campaign and it’s a total amazing!

The campaign stars Charlotte Free, Kiko Mizuhara, Winnie Harlow, Bruce, Sabrina, Gryphon O’Shea and Surren Senevirate.

“There are so many crazy things happening now that you don’t see people just having fun any more. The challenge was to work with an avant-garde photographer, Nick Knight, and get him to do something he’s rarely done – which is shoot people smiling. It feels spontaneous, like they are selfies and he’s just the one snapping the photo.” – Nicola Formichetti, creative director of Diesel.

The campaign is conceived by creative director Nicola Formichetti, styled byAnna Trevelyan and shot by Nick Knight call us to take a chance, enjoy our lives and embrace our beautiful differences.

Well, a group of young people expressing themselves and having a good time…this is what #DieselHigh is all about and we are buying it, it appeals us to do the same, again and again, every minute, every hour, every day, all year. We like the concept, we like the integration…WE LOVE THE PICTURES, WE LOVE THIS DIESEL S/S 2015 AD’ CAMPAIGN !

BARNEYS NY S/S 2015 AD’ CAMPAIGN

Barneys department store takes model worship to new levels with its ‘Better Than Ever‘ Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign!

Iconic supermodels, Stephanie Seymour Brant, Christie Brinkley, Brooke Shields, Elaine Erwin, Pat Cleveland, Veronica Webb, Bethann Hardison, Kirsten Owen, Suzanne Bartsch, and Kiara Kabukuru are joined by twenty-eight younger men for a wild weekend in Miami with Bruce Weber on hand to capture the madness.

The males who run this ladies into madness are no others than Marlon Teixeira, Brian Shimansky, Bo Develius, Henry Watkins, Kenneth Guidroz Jr, Michael Bailey Gates, Luca Jamal, Noah Doss, Shayne Cureton and Franky Cammarata.

“When I’m taking photographs that mix fashion and fantasy, after a while it’s really hard to come back to the real world. But I like the idea of not coming back to the real world—of instead living in your own.” – Bruce Weber

This campaign is EXCEPTIONAL, we are speechless.  We really love the whole theme of it and how was executed. The photo at the pool with the dog, the policeman, the two women, the naked boy and the zebra is hot insane. Obviously the brand is trying to get a new direction with this kind of ads.

Try to watch the video above, WE CAN TELL YOU FOR SURE YOU WILL LOVE IT

KENZO

KENZO S/S 2015 AD’ CAMPAIGN

Kenzo once again collaborates with the creative talent behind Toiletpaper for its Spring/Summer 2015 ad campaign. The menswear, womenswear, kidswear, eyewear and accessories campaigns depict a magical utopia with modern architecture dream-like skyscapes.

The imagery features Mona Matsuoka and Qing He.

Material people living in a material world, Lego meets Time Square, Star Wars meets Jurassic World…..are you getting the idea of this campaign? Oh…..we have forgotten, Back to the Future movie is also featuring in the concept, not the back, but we suppose the future.

We are trying to figure out the dream or nightmare Kenzo’s designers and creative directors, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim, had during the creation of this advertisement.

If you notice, or have not noticed, the clothes are unseen, we are still expecting for them to be shown in some moment we know will not happen. At least we could see more clothes in the kids campaign but the abstract-gelatin dinosaurs lead our eyes to another place.

In conclusion, we are disappointed about the whole look of the Kenzo’s campaign, specially when we saw the collection and in fact liked it. This 80’s something camping is doing nothing for us and IT IS NOT SHOWING ANYTHING FOR US.

Oh, Ok….we have figured it out, THEY WERE WATCHING THE MOVIE THRON, THE FIRST ONE!
