INTERIOR DESIGN……THE FRENCH TOUCH!

Live between Paris and New York is the dream of many, but few succeed. Emma Donnersberg is a French who moved to America to study first in New Orleans and then at the Parsons School of Design in the Big Apple. She founded her interior design office in 2008 Emma Donnersberg Interiors- and today has offices and customers on both sides of the Atlantic.  Often travel around the world, a way to nourish his inspiration constantly.  Thanks to that, each project has her unique European, American and Asian experiences.

This apartment of 120 square meters is located in the heart of the French capital, opposite the Louvre, so famous as an exceptional location. Finished last year, the apartment is typically Haussmann: high ceilings, moldings and an elegant fireplace in the lounge.

“Although it may seem contradictory, I would say my style is contemporary, chic and classic,” says Emma Donnersberg.

Light colors like white and beige have been privileged. She confesses approach to interior design as “if I had to paint a blank canvas, using the spatial organization, colors and textures to generate the highest level of luxury.”

This project was more about decoration of interior design. In fact, Emma Donnersberg used a good part of the budget to buy pieces of furniture and lamps of famous designers. In the lounge, the sofa is Christian Liaigre, the Thomas Lemut coffee table, chairs and lamp Patricia Urquiola suspension Jean de Merry. In the kitchen, the wallpaper is the Woods model of Cole and Son and chairs designed by Warren Platner Knoll are.

“I’m Parisian, so designing a floor here is something natural to me. However, through this project I realized the beauty of Paris and its buildings.

New York, where I work too- is a beautiful city, but it’s totally different, “says Emma Donnersberg.
